Guidelines for your print filesto ensure the best results!

Depending on the printing technique you choose, there are specific requirements for your print files. To ensure we can print your design in optimal quality exactly as you envision, please pay attention to the following when preparing your files.

Screen printing requirements

Print files:

  • Vector graphics (line art) must be provided.
  • Text must be converted to outlines (curves).
  • Contours/outlines must be converted to paths.
  • The minimum line thickness is 0.5 mm.
  • The maximum print size varies depending on the product.
  • Accepted file formats: PDF, EPS, AI and SVG.

Colour specifications:

  • Colours must be specified in Pantone C Solid Coated.
  • Special colours are possible depending on the product, e.g. reflective printing or metallic colours.
  • Colours must be set at 100% opacity with no transparencies.
  • Gradients are not supported.

Digital printing requirements

Print files:

For logos, text and other graphic elements:

  • Must be provided as vector graphics (line art).
  • Text must be converted to outlines (curves).
  • Contours/outlines must be converted to paths.
  • Minimum line thickness: 0.75 mm.
  • Accepted file formats: PDF, EPS, AI, SVG

For image and photo designs:

  • They must be provided as raster graphics (pixel images).
  • In the original print size with a minimum resolution of 150 dpi. This refers to the final size on the finished product and can vary depending on the product.
  • Accepted file formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF

Colour specifications:

  • Colours specified in Pantone Solid Coated.
  • Special colours are not possible (e.g. reflective printing or metallic colours).
  • Colours should ideally be set at 100% opacity.
  • Gradients are allowed.

What is Pantone C, and why do we use it?

Pantone Solid Coated is a colour system used around the world.

In order to match our customers’ colour requirements as accurately as possible, we have chosen to use this colour system. This gives us a significant advantage, as even for reorders, we can largely maintain the colour results despite changes in materials or new machine settings. Many printing companies already work with the Pantone colour system for the same reasons.
